One specialist business insurance group has announced three new appointments in its London Market division expansion efforts.
Risk management, commercial insurance specialists, and reinsurer THB Group plc has added three new staff to its Commercial and Motor Fleet teams. Part of Thomson Health & Bond Limited, the THB Lloyds broker recently announced its pre-tax profits had risen by 47 per cent.
Kevin Kidby joins the THB Motor Fleet as a new broker. Mr Kidby’s previous positions include working with AFL and Willis. During his time at AFL, Mr Kidby was responsible for fleet development efforts for the Lloyds broker.
Mr Mike Fountain has come aboard the broking firm as THB’s newest regional development manager. As he has held positions at both Tradex and Holman’s Marketing prior to the new appointment, Mr Fountain is well-known at THB.
Mr Owen Davies joines THB’s London Market Commercial team. Mr Davies has held previous positions at both RL Davison and RK Harrison before taking the position as a broker for the group’s professional indemnity insurance division.
THB London Market’s managing director, Darren Nightingale, issued a statement in which he welcomed the three new appointments to the reinsurer. Stating that all three had excellent qualities, Mr Nightingale was confident that their recent addition to the commercial and motor fleet teams would be an effective enhancement.
The managing director went on to state that the collective experience of the new hires will work to add strength to the firm’s specialist offerings. THB’s extensive network of fleet and commercial risk contacts will be strengthened by the new staff as well, he stated.
Mr Nightingale concluded it was particularly satisfying to issue the new hires an official welcome to THB as the firm has been working with all three of them for quite some time due to its already-strong market connections.
