Legal firm welcomes new commercial insurance partner

One legal firm has recently welcomed its newest commercial insurance partner by appointing a new executive to its expanding London offices.

Solicitor firm DWF announced the appointment of Christopher Ryan as its newest business liability insurance partner. With more than two decades of experience in an advisory setting, Mr Ryan has been working for both larger corporations and loss adjusters, brokers, and insurers in the power, construction, and utility industries.

Mr Ryan has acted on a broad range of professional indemnity insurance claims in the past for previous legal firms.  Additionally he has advised on an exhaustive array of the majority of the most-often used forms of wording on non-marine policies.  Mr Ryan has also offered his advice on claims and agency handling outsourcing contracts for loss adjusters and brokers.

In a statement released in conjunction with his appointment, Mr Ryan stated that he wanted to express his enthusiasm for being able to work for an expanding and dynamic firm such as DWF.  Mr Ryan also stated that he is looking forward to adding his own efforts to those of others already assisting the specialist insurance team’s growth efforts while simultaneously helping DWF’s clients acheive their commercial and legal objectives.

DWF national insurance head Paul Berry also commented on the new appointment by stating that Mr Ryan’s new role at the company is reflective of the commitment the firm has in attracting talent that are at the top of the industry.  Mr Berry referred to the depth of Mr Ryan’s influence and the thoroughness with which he can understand commercial insurance as an invaluable asset to DWF.

Once Mr Ryan begins serving as his new role as commercial insurance partner for the legal firm, he will be based out of DWF’s London offices.
