One legal firm has recently announced the addition of not only two new associates to its professional indemnity and international risk teams but a new partner as well.
Law firm Beachcroft has added to its roster of business liability insurance specialists with the addition of Paul Davison as a new partner and both Dan Silver and Hans Allnutt as associates in the professional liability insurance and financial risk group.
Formerly of Eversheds, Mr Davison joins the firm as a new partner. Mr Allnutt and Mr Silver have arrived from SJ Berwin and Reynolds Porter Chamberlain respectively.
Beachcroft’s dispute resolution head, Trevor Chamberlain, commented on the new appointments by stating that Mr Davison’s expertise and knowledge will be put to great use in his new role as partner in the firm’s already quite strong team in the North. The professional indemnity field is one of Beachcroft’s most rapidly growing business areas for the firm said Mr Chamberlain, adding that Mr Davison’s highly respected reputation in the relevant market will be a great boon to Beachcroft’s drive to increase that growth.
The dispute resolution head also stated that the firm’s appointment of Mark Sutton to partner in the SIR team and its acquisition of WHCG has added strength to its London offering. Mr Chamberlain added that Beachcroft fully intends to continue this trend.
Commenting on the firm’s two new associates, Mr Chamberlain stated that both Mr Allnutt and Mr Silver have undertaken highly relevant secondments previously. Mr Silver spent eight months at a major investment bank, he remarked, while Mr Allnutt spent nine at a leading specialist insurer. Mr Chamberlain felt that the first hand experience both of them have with the kinds of challenges and pressures that face their clients will make their presence on the team invaluable.
