BIBA renews its professional indemnity insurance accredited panel

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association recently announced that not only will it be launching a new offering aimed towards private medical insurance cover, it will also be renewing its panel of professional indemnity accredited brokers.

BIBA will continue to work with its three professional liability insurance brokers in order to provide specialised and competitive cover to its members.  The three commercial insurance brokers that BIBA has on its panel are Towergate Professional Indemnity, Howden Insurance Brokers, and Lockton Companies LLP.

Lockton partner Neville Miles commented on the news, stating that it was rare to have a business relationship such as the broker has with BIBA.  Mr Miles stated that the broker has been working with the association for more than two decades.

The partner stated that he was pleased his firm will persist in serving hundreds of intermediaries in the UK.  He was quick to say that Stockton is both focused and committed to continuing to provide expert risk management and insurance advice to the members of BIBA.

Howden Insurance Brokers executive director Lance Rigby also commented, stating that the broker was delighted to be able to continue supporting BIBA’s professional indemnity initiative.  Mr RIgby stated that the scheme’s success was a testament to the combined work BIBA and its panel do in order to improve the cover and benefits available to the association’s members.

The executive director added that Howden was looking forward to providing further support and assistance to brokers across the length and width of the UK.  He also stated that the firm was proud of the part it played in the evolution of professional indemnity solutions for members of BIBA.

Towergate managing director Alan Eyre also expressed his delight in the renewal.
