Business insurance provider DUAL Corporate Risks recently welcomed new professional indemnity insurance underwriter, Christopher Blake, to its Manchester offices, industry experts recently reported. This new appointment follows upon the heels of the specialist insurance provider’s expansion efforts into the technology sector, with the launch of a dedicated products liability, public liability, and professional indemnity insurance offering earlier in 2011.
According to the specialist insurer, Mr Blake, who joins DUAL from his former position at Chartis, has amassed specific experience in this particular niche (but rapidly growing) sector. Mr Blake already has established relationships and strong support from not only professional indemnity insurance brokers but also other areas pertaining to technical underwriting.
Jennifer Martin, the underwriting director for DUAL Corporate Risks, commented on the appointment by stating that Mr Blake is considered both a popular and highly respected professional in his field. The new appointment unquestionably strengthens DUAL’s IT space offering, Ms Martin added.
The underwriting director also said that DUAL was excited to welcome the depth of talent needed to move its ambitious growth plans forward for its national business unit, the hub for regional business opportunities that exist outside the London marketplace.
In related news, DUAL announced another recent appointment for national claims manager, as James Bromley-Challenor fills a role that includes the everyday relationship with legal firm Kennedys. The law firm was appointed by DUAL Corporate Risks earlier in 2011 to aid the insurer in its efforts to handle an additional number of claims.
