Law firm strengthens its professional indemnity & risk team

With the appointment of two new solicitors, one regional law firm has strengthened its professional indemnity & risk team, according to professional liability insurance experts.

Morgan Cole welcomes both Abigail Havard and Zoë Perry to its business liability insurance and risk team.  Ms Havard, who will be qualifying in September after completing her LPC at Cardiff Law School and her law degree at Birmingham University.   Ms Perry, who qualified in 2001, formerly studied at Southampton Solent University and has previously worked with Bristol-based Bond Pearce.

The team both new solicitors will be joining, which is led by firm partner Clare Hughes-Williams, represents a large range of insurers and professionals, with a particular experience in handling solicitor’s professional indemnity claims.  Ms Hughes-Williams said that the two new recruits are joining the team just in time for the new professional indemnity renewal season, which begins on 1 October.

This renewal season is thought to be one of the most intense since the open market introduction on the heels of the Solicitors Indemnity Fund’s demise in 2000, added Ms Hughes-Williams. Morgan Cole continues to experience a high demand for its specialised services, which led the partner to express her delight in welcoming both Ms Havard and Ms Perry to her team.

The other members of the team, Alison Huckle, Sarah Armstrong, and Catrin Davies, will be working alongside its two newest staff members.  The remaining team member, solicitor Laura Segger, is currently with a London client on secondment.

With offices in South England and southern Wales, Morgan Cole specialises in informed advice, with a professed focus on relationship building with their clients in order to gain a true and complete understanding of their organisations.
