Towergate Insurance will be providing its insurance services under the aegis of the Confused.com brand across a wide range of products, including office insurance, cover for surgeries, restaurants, commercial and let properties, liability, and commercial packages. Towergate will be handling enquiries through its Guildford-based specialist commercial contact centre.
The insurer said that the new partnership with Confused falls into line with the significant investments Towergate has made in order to enhance its capabilities in dealing with high volumes of business. Managing Director of Towergate-owned Your Insurance, Robert Rees, said that this is another strategic step towards the group’s goal to write £100 million in business insurance throughout the next several years.
Your Insurance brings fantastic value to Confused, said Mr Rees, through a relevant and impressive product portfolio which is a perfect fit for its small business customer base. The managing director said that the partnership between Towergate and Confused is sure to be another positive step towards the insurer’s ambition to become an online insurance market leader.
Towergate Retail chief executive, Jon Walker, also commented on the new partnership, stating that it was good news indeed that Towergate can continue bringing the benefits inherent in personal broking service to the relatively new market of online business insurance targeted specifically at SMEs. Mr Walker added that Towergate’s aggregation system will permit its customers not only access to trusted advice but also the benefit of speedy online transactions due to the existing infrastructure of Confused.com.
