DWF appoints six new members to its commercial insurance team

One north west firm has appointed six new members to its commercial insurance and retail teams in London, industry experts recently reported.

DWF announced that its new head of retail and partner will be Hilary Ross, an expert in regulation noteworthy for her experience in several business insurance sectors, such as marketing and advertising, food law, and health and safety.  Previously of Bond Pearce and Berwin Leighton Paisner, Ms Ross also serves as chair as the UK branch of the European Food Law Association in addition to being a Health and Safety Lawyers’ Association member.

Both Suzannah Boyd and Rebecca Mills have joined the firm’s commercial insurance team, with Ms Boyd joining from K&L Gates and Ms Mills from BLP.  Both new team members specialise in coverage disputes, property insurance, and professional indemnity insurance issues.

DWF has also announced the appointment of Gubir Thethy and Amanda Emberton to the firm’s catastrophic personal injury team, while its casualty team welcomes Louise Louch as its newest member.

A qualified barrister with more than a decade of experience in large loss and catastrophic injury claims, Ms Emberton joins DWF from Plexus Law, where she served as a catastrophic injury team member  Former  Vizards Wyeth litigation executive, Mr Thethy, brings with him more than 20 years’ worth of expertise in public liability, motor, and employer liability law, and will be serving as a senior legal adviser for DWF.

Ms Louch, who will also be serving as a legal adviser, had previously been a senior claims technician for Zurich, where she specialised in fraud-related strategy matters and fraud claims for her the insurance expert.
